But the presentation of Aylesbury at 90º and the distortion of the Paddington line suggest a lack of effort in retaining a sense of reality. Perhaps the main line could have been at 30º instead of 45º with a 90º curve at Birmingham enabling Kidderminster to be south-west. Sharp bend, instead of curved, at Wendover.
